Experience Stockholm on a Professional Study Visit

Each year, the City of Stockholm receives a large number of study visit requests from all over the world.

The aim of the study visit programme is to strengthen networking and collaboration with other cities, and increase the opportunities of sharing experiences and learning from each other.

Booking procedures

We require your preliminary booking two months ahead of your visit. Please use the form to the right to indicate the aim of your study visit, your theme of preference from the list to the left, together with information about the visitors.

We will do our best to plan your visit according to your needs and priorities, but we can not guarantee that all requests will be met during your stay.

Planning your visit

Summer holidays in Sweden tend to start at the end of June and lasts until mid-August. Since many of our speakers might be on leave during this period, we could have difficulties arranging a study visit during the summer.

Please note that the City of Stockholm does not provide any invitation letters, hotel bookings, transports, interpretation (all presentations will be held in English for our international guests) or other practical arrangements relating to your stay.

The professional study visits team requires a direct contact with the visiting group, before and during your stay. We do not arrange visits through tour operators or event companies.

The professional study visits are free of charge.
