Public transport on land is run by the County of Stockholm, and is called Storstockholms Lokaltrafik (SL), Stockholm Public Transport.
Stockholm City Bikes
You can rent a bike between april and october at Stockholm City Bikes. By purchasing a bike card from Stockholm City Bikes, you can use any bike from a large number of bike stands all over the city. When you've finished using the bike, just put it back in any stand.

Congestion charge was reintroduced in the city of Stockholm in the summer of 2007. The scheme was tested between 3rd January - 31st July, 2006, in an attempt to reduce congestion, improve traffic flow and create a healthier environment. Analysis of the results show that traffic volumes has decreased by an average of over 20 percent.
The Swedish Transport Agency is in charge of the congestion tax.
Traffic and parking
Traffic is increasing at a rate of 2-3% per year, and in 2005 the number of private cars in use in Stockholm were approximately 279 000. The Traffic Administration Office, Trafikkontoret, is responsible for the traffic system and the traffic routes and streets of Stockholm, as well as accessibility and traffic safety.
